We had our bread and pastries from Il Fornaio for a week. Croissants, pizza margherita, focaccia, the big sourdough bread, small rolls and bigger ones… we liked them all. The staff speaks English, friendly and helpful.

When left the store today I accidentally forget my cellphone. I returned 3 hours later in a panic and it was safely waiting for me. The owner wouldn't hear of compensation. What a special person she is!
So if you are looking for wonderful baking and a warm welcoming environment this store is the place for you!This bakery is lovely. The staff were friendly and we visited a couple of times for some pastries and bread! Very delicious selection of baked goods

Best bakery in Menaggio. Excellent cakes. Breads was good too, but the highlights were the cakes, cookies, and tarts. Friendly service as well.
Excellent breads and treats—savory and sweet. Come get focaccia and some stuff for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s delicious and fresh. MUCH better to stop here and get bread and some pastries than the grocery. Go here first to get your staples and then stop at the grocery for the rest!
Small bakery with kind staff and a delicious variety of fresh products. Was great to stop by and get a quick sweet snack and breads.
